Tai Chi & Healing Practice with Taoist Master Li

Li Hechun is a modern priest of the Longmen (Dragon Gate) branch of the Ch'uan-chen (Complete Perfection) School of Taoism in China. This school emphasizes the practice of "neidan", or inner alchemy, in the interest of cultivating the spirit. Master Li was born in June 1978, in Shangluo of Shaanxi. He was brought up in a traditional cultural and Daoist atmosphere and developed a strong passion for Daoist studies and martial art. On this DVD Taoist Master Li Hechun fteaches the Taoist Healing Practice, beginning with the Morning Exercise, which is a particularly good time to practice Chi Kung and also serves as a proper warm-up for Tai-Chi practice. Learn how to stretch your tendons, open your joints and circulate your Chi.The second part is the Healing Practice, consisting of special breathing with movements and meditation. The main part of the DVD he teaches, step by step and with detailed movements, the Tai-Chi form consisting of 24 movements. Master Li Hechun’s teaching of Tai Chi emphasizes the inner movement of Chi during practice, and smoothness, lightness and grace in the moves. As the Tao is the way of nature, his Taoist way of practicing Tai-Chi encourages you to be in touch with heaven and earth, yang and yin. Feeling the flow of the Chi and flowing with it, being empty and full, thus understanding every move. In Taoism, unmediated feeling knows. Tai-Chi allows you to cultivate the immediacy of feeling, and so to harmonize the body-mind with the flow of the life-force.
